Data storage 

When you contact us we will add your contact details to our contact management database and we will use those details to stay in touch with you throughout our conversations. If we decide to work together your data will be transferred to our bookkeeping system as well. Your data may be held in documents in various ways, such as proposals to explain our work, contracts for our work and in the course of our work together. 

All of our systems are cloud-based and can be accessed globally via secure log-in systems. Access is limited to staff and associates of Two Green Magpies only.

You are welcome to request a copy of the information we hold on you at any time. You also have the right to ask us to remove your details from any/all of our systems and if there is no compelling reason why we cannot meet your request then we will remove your details entirely. If we are unable to meet your request we will explain why. We would welcome any requests for information to be updated. 

Fundraising research and applications 

Work undertaken for our clients often includes elements of prospect research. This may involve research into individuals, grant-making Trusts and Foundations or businesses who may be interested in supporting our client. Under these circumstances Two Green Magpies is acting as a ‘Data Processor’ for the client, and the work typically involves reviewing publicly available information which has been put in the public domain by the data subjects themselves. The information that Two Green Magpies collects is stored electronically in our cloud-based systems which can only be accessed via secure log-in systems. These files can only be accessed by the Two Green Magpies CEO and Two Green Magpies Associates. Where appropriate, the data is submitted to the contracting client who is the ‘Data Controller’ 

When undertaking research and applications on behalf of a client, Two Green Magpies will adhere to the Data Processing Procedures and the Privacy Policies of the contracting client at all times. 
No data is sold to third parties. The justification for processing data in this way is that it is in our Legitimate Interest to do so, given the nature of our work, and its dependence on having access to this information.  

Communication with you 

We will use the contact details you have shared with us to communicate about our business together. 

We may send out regular marketing emails. It is possible to have your information added the list to receive such marketing in a number of ways: 

  • Personal request 
  • Following a link and requesting to join the list 
  • Downloading of material from the Two Green Magpies website 
  • Connecting with us on LinkedIn 
  • Sharing your business card with us at an event 
  • Enquiring about our services in any way 

It is always possible to change your mind and ask us to remove you. There is an “unsubscribe” option for all of our emails but you can also let us know that you have changed your mind at any time. 

Sharing your information 

Two Green Magpies will not share your data with any party who would use it for any purpose outside of the running of Two Green Magpies’ activities as already described. 

We would not sell your data, nor swap it nor share your information in a way that means someone else can access and use it.
